Get to know
After 25 years together, we continue to learn about each other. Our relationship is built on friendship, spiritual enlightenment, music, theatre and haka. As young musicians, we challenged each other to grow and pursue our childhood dreams. It was a daring and uncertain journey, but we were willing to try.
Reo chose to write and compose, while I pursued my passion for performing arts. Both of us studied at MAINZ, the New Zealand School of Music and Audio, and raised our boys in West Auckland. Supporting major artists on projects and tours provided us with experiences that deeply shaped our musical paths—although we didn’t realise their full impact at the time.
Reo released his debut self-titled album, and I secured a role in Disney’s The Lion King Musical in Australia and China. Without a guidebook, we trusted our talents and gave everything a go. Haka was a vital tool during tough times, grounding us when challenges arose.
Te Aroha (formerly Lee)
I’m a singer, performer and project manager. I handle most of our contracts and admin, including our limited social media, photography and filming. I run our marketing and promo’s through our social’s and report on completion. Together we deliver our programs and workshops.
Reo
I’m an acoustic guitarist, tenor and producer. I deliver our programs and workshops. I build contracts based on what the needs are. I document our mahi and create lesson plans. I build resources for our tauira that works for their age level. I produce music work for various organisations
